What to expect from a custom bra experience:
Step 1: Initial Consultation
We find a time for you to visit the studio and chat about what you’re looking for in a custom made bra.
We discuss possible design ideas and available materials.
When ready, I record your unique measurements in order to generate a pattern that is made just for you.
Step 2: Test Garments
I get to work creating your individual pattern for a wired and unwired basic test bra. Making both types allows us to better understand your support and comfort needs, resulting in a more suitable final design choice.
I sew both test bras, a process that takes around 2-3 weeks.
When the garments are complete, we book a time to meet in the studio and try the test bras on. At this time, I might make a few quick adjustments, and note any major fit or comfort issues.
You will take the test bras home to try out for ~2 weeks to see how they feel in various situations and give the garments time to “relax”.
Step 3: Your Personalized Garments!
If the test bras are a good fit, it’s time to design the perfect bra for you!
You choose the coverage, the cut and style, the materials, the support, the tiny details - all of it can be customized!
We can either use material already in the studio, or discuss ordering materials for a truly bespoke garment.
